take a look through my eyes
and tell me, what do you see
can you see all that is changing
all i have are my memories

can you remember
when we were kids
so young and innocent
now we wonder where those times have gone

its been so many years
there have been so many tears
and now we both stand here alone

we tell oursleves it will get better
all this pain will end
we can relive those memories
there is no need to pretend

we'll hide away our pain
and stand out in the rain
and finally come to relise
it will never be the same
