Time

Time ticks away your days,
All the moments lost along the way.
Time flows off the charts and clocks,
Never resting like the sun.

All the years disappear, wasted
For all the time you fear.
You stutter all day long,
But time glides by.
Dragging down the sun
Past the shade.

And you run and run,
But you never know when you are.
It seems a waste of time,
But your heart aches,
And short of breath,
It isn't long,
Before you fall
To your knees.

Time has gone by,
And you're older,
Your heart slower,
Till the last beat,
You can never find time.

this is really great bourne, i especially love the second stanza. time is a strange thing; we waste time so much on all of these little insignificant things, and when we have the chance to change something, to do something good in our lives or in the life of someone else, we cant ever "find the time" to do so. and then years later, when our time is running out, we'll look back on all of the wasted years, on all of the wasted time. this is beautifully written. great job.
