The Final Act

I loved you,
I hated you and everything in between
I lied to you, but still remained true
I showed emotions you've never seen

I died in your eyes,
As i died in my own
I couldn't win first prize
And I always should have known

I searched for your face,
Wasted all of my time
Tried to keep up with your pace,
Spent all but a dime

All of the sudden it hit me in the head,
I shouldn't love a boy who walked out my door
I found the strength to get up and said,
"You know what? I can't do this anymore."

I said, my show must go on,
Your act ended now.
I can't believe you were on for so long,
Leave. Hurry and just take a bow.

My final act is with you out of my sight,
The way it should always be.
Out of the darkness and into the light,
Ends the story of you without me.
