Soul and Mind
Swiftly, gently, the heart falls to pieces
Softly, quietly, the tears fall with absent cries
Surging, pounding, the pain aches and wounds the soul.
Yet, body numb to it all.
Mind reeling with memories while
Mindless actions are made,
Misplacing the hurt that comes with knowledge.
Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
