How could I have been so hopeful? So trusting?
How could I have believed that someone like you could love something like me?
Although I know it could never be true
All my thoughts are still filled to the brim with you

Even though these are just stupid fantasies of mine
I know the sweetest dreams are all in my mind
For someone like you can never love one of my kind
I hope that she treats you right
And holds you tight
When she does, don't let go
