Searing Realization

Tears fall from my eyes,
It’s acid rain down my cheeks.
It leaves a path of sorrow,
To find that which it seeks.
I desperately needed you,
But my wait was in vain.
My heart broke into pieces,
For you never came.
Believing we’re soul mates,
How stupid can one be?
The person you truly love,
Was never really me.
I stand there staring numbly,
Life’s dealt me a blow.
I finally realize my solution:
I have to let you go.
I’m about to let go,
I let out a strangled cry:
“Life’s but a disappointment,
We all live just to die.”

i'm really starting to like your poetry. you unlike most people actually make use of punctuation and know how to spell check and to top it all off your diction is rich, but honest at the same time. i'll be back to read more when you got something new.
