Scared Inside

emotions coursing through my veins
terrifying thoughs driving runaway trains
the ups are brilliant
but are they worth the downs?
maybe it's time
I got out of town

away from these people
away from here
away from the confusion
away from the tears?

what is it though
that still pulls me down
brings me so far up
but slams me back down
hormones?
stress?
depression?
possibly.
do others feel the way I feel?
does anyone see what I see?
