Pain

You had your chance, you blew it, oh boy.
But wait, a sound, what can it be?
Her heart still plemmets,
When she says your name.
Her eyes still water,
When she feels the pain.
How can she love you?

It's like waiting in the rain.
She tried to wait it out,
but all that brought was pain.
She tried to escape, but that made it worse.
It only make her cry,
You brought on this pain.

Her heart beats in a rhythm,
"I love you" it seems to say.
Your memory still haunts her,
Her lungs still heave.

She hides it behind a smile, a laugh, a joke.
She tries to be happy,
Few know its a hoax.
Her heart still soars,
Her smile still flies,
But the flight is short,
And the landing is rough.

She tries to escape the pain,
Chasing after her dreams.
She wants her happily-ever-after,
But to do that you need a heart.
She doesn't have one anymore,
You ripped it apart.
