Mother
I'm sorry Mother,
If I mutter it or not,
I ought to say I love you,
And I do,
And you are so dear to me,
When I hear you in my mind,
I find nothing but streaking tears,
I never meant to leave like I did,
I hid myself and now I regret it,
But forget it all,
If it'll only make you feel better,
Then I don't mind being nothing but a feather,
I'll gather some energy and sail the winds of life,
Please don't cry,
Sweet weary Mother,
Worry no more,
Because I'm sorry.
