Memories(updated)

sittin here reminiscencin
rememberin the days
back when cooties still exisited
back before our lives fell apart
wonderin what went wrong
the ages of 13 & 14 cooties disappeared
tbe ages of 15&16 wantin nothin but ta be grown
the chance came & went
we remember how at first we succeeded
we ask ourselves what happened
the answer we already know
time got the best of us
the problems back then seemed so major
we laugh because we know now they were so small
the tears we cried
& the fights we fought
made us who we are today
as we got older
& the years went by
we went our separate ways
neither of us knowing why
but now time brought us back together
when did we grow up?
where did the years go?
it seems like only yesterday
i was still "one of the guys"
make up and hair products still unknown
i remember teather ball & other boy games i used to play
now i wouldnt dream of that
we both laugh over the fact that i grew up to be a girly girl
leavin the mud & sports behind
and that you became a jock in high school
our memories making us think
our laughter turnin into a sadden chuckle
our lives went by so fast
neither of us thought
life would turn out this way

you shouldnt let life pass you by..
when your still a kid it couldnt go slower
but once your finally become an adult
which you couldnt wait for
you wonder where the years went
and would trade anything to be a kid again.
cherish everymoment you have
because they come and go so quick.
