Loveless

I know you think
that everyone who loves you
or you love will get hurt...
if that is true...
then why am I not hurt?
I may not be here as often
as i want to be
but i still care....
i care for you and your fragile heart
though some say you are heartless
i will continue to care
and love you....
some may agree and others not
but i dont care if they do or dont
as long as you
are well loved and cared for...
am i saying i love you?
indeed i am
because i have known you
and i would rather die
than see you get hurt again...
i am not loveless
and shouldnt be either...
i dont ask that you return my feelings
but i do ask that you
understand that no matter what
i will care and love you
till the day i die...
