Light Vs Dark

Spear of ice in darkness loom
Cold wind howling haunted moon
At a distance death does wait
Not on time but never late
Flakes like swarms of locusts twirl
Blanking out a well known world
Eyes like amber in the night
Peering down just out of sight
Being watched by bird of prey
Feeling threatened “please come day”
A hair of light at a distance seen
Brings a slight but welcome gleem
From hair to string to rope then chain
It anchors in the warmth of day
Fear and panic ,dark and pain
All hail light as dark is slain
