life everlasting; never lasting

after all the tears have gone,
she's left empty.
the one thing that couldn't be robbed
has been taken from her, lost
is the ability she had to cry. to let it out.
she's left hollow. helpless.
full of regret and shame,
and knowing that it was her fault. that he:
her knight in shining armour,
her partner in crime,
her best friend,
her life,
and her love...
was gone. dead.
she stares into the nothingness
and slowly crawls onto her bed;
the one he once slept on in secret.
she wants to give in, give up.
too exhausted from the past,
ready to sleep... forever as he does
and escape her pain permanently
but she mustn't try. not even nap.
for she knows she could never make it
- in this world or the next.
if she has to see him in her dreams
one more time.

Hmmm. . . good. but there's some more room for improvement; more poetic devices will serve this poem a great help Open smile... but again, "slowly crawls onto her bed" really gives the job a thumbs up Open smile.
