Ice lies
in the depths of his eyes
Cold and hard
just like his heart
He says that he cares
but only daggers he stares
his twisted thoughts
of what he wishes he forgot

Her eyes are set aflame
when she hears his name
her eyes swell with tears
as she remembers her fears
thoughts swirl in her demented mind
she tries to leave her feelings behind

The sweetness still lies on their lips
where each other they have kissed
The bruises are still there
from the love they used to share
they should have known it from the start
oh but don't worry... it's just a heart
