While you may appear so far away
My heart is set in dismay

Lonely nights are all thats spent
Lying awake wondering where it all went

Everytime we speak
It leaves me feeling even more weak

You say that we need this time apart
Making me even more disturbed in the heart

Deep down through all this I wish to resolve
Keeping our love intact and waiting to evolve

I have crushed your heart
With many words so sour and tart

I know that your words often ring true
But at this point what can i do?

I want to be able show that I understand
With the hopes of your love in demand

When I call upon your forgiveness
Your anger through all the years still feels endless

If I could only turn back the hands of time
This love we now share wouldn't be such a crime

All the anger and hurt stirred abroad
Crushes my heart by the hands of God

In so many words left of unspoken pain
I give this apology in disdain

Instead of all this song and dance
All I ask is to give our love one last chance
