If only you knew

If only you knew how much I care about you.
If only you knew what goes on in my head.
If only you knew how much I've been through.
If only you knew how much pain I still go through.

Then maybe you would understand why I have trust issues,
why I never tell you I'm not alright
when I tell you I am,
why I don't believe you when you say you care about me.
and why I don't pay attation when you say that
you want me to be your girl.

And if maybe you ask and listen and care how I feel about you,
I would actually give you the time of day,
and know that you give a damn about me
