I *forever* love you
They all say I love you
as a casual expression,
but when I hear it said like that,
I go into a depression.
What has it come to mean?
Nothing, even if it's tough,
'cause as the song says,
three words are not enough.
They're said day to day,
even when they aren't meant.
That is such an awful thing,
my heart will not be lent.
When I say I love you,
it has meaning from the heart.
It will be the forever kind of love,
not just short sweet and tart.
For now I'll tell you this,
I no longer want you and me,
I *forever* love you,
and I want it to be we.
