Hurt The Little One
I left her hanging from a golden stamped letter
I lick my salted wounds but I can never see them better
Something has exchanged
I cannot stay the same
Her hair was pressed agianst her face in departure
I feel this black chasm pushing harder and harder
Her heart could only hold so long
My heart could only hold so long
I'm so sorry
I did not mean
To hurt my little one
It's so far beyond please
I guess it seems
I can not carry
The weight of a broken girl
So goodbye and goodnight
She makes think of someone wonderful but I can't place it
I wake up every morning softly praying I can face it
Her bloodshot tears create a sad melody
Merged agianst all we can no longer fake a guarantee
Something has exchanged
I cannot stay the same
The room is solid as we all tried to remember
Flowers turn to crows as I replace the day I met her
Her heart could only hold so long
My heart could only hold so long
I'm so sorry
I did not mean
To hurt my little one
It's so far beyond please
I guess it seems
I can not carry
The weight of a broken girl
So goodbye and goodnight
I will not be there
I will not be there
I will not be there
I will not be there
I will not be there
I will not be there
The glue has rusted
And my veins have busted
So goodbye and goodnight
My little one
