Hey, Stranger
Hey, it's been eight years
I've missed you, you know
Emotions can't be protected
So hear lie my fears
I lay here in bed
And think of the past
To when everything
Seemed like a blast
Like when we shared Pokemon cards
Or played around in the dirt
I'll never forget the memories
I hope you still remember me
Though we haven't seen eachother in a while
Just know I left unwillingly
Just know I had no choice
I tried to leave with dignity
Don't show the tears. Don't show the hate.
Don't show the fear. Don't show the rage.
Hey, it's been eight years
I've missed you, you know
I doubt you even remember me
I bet you don't even care
A poem for a stranger,
Blindly unaware.
