Guarded Regrets

No regrets for what we have said.

You should have read my peom.

You should have sat and read.

We should have talked before we thought about what was said.

Being older isn’t being wiser

It does and doesn’t have it’s advantages.

I’m not done with my life.

I’m not going to be a miser.

I will live my life with this day and be so much more wiser.

If we needed we always had a shoulder.

You are younger and I’m older.

We didn’t hold that against each other.

Time goes by so fast when you’re not thinking.

We did have something that would have last but it just starting kinking.

I am here and you are there.

We aren’t together and I do care..

What I said to you wasn’t true

I did a lot of thinking of you.

It wasn’t till that day that I truly realized that what I really wanted was you…

A day will come and we will realize what we had.

I hope I didn’t hurt you as I was hurt and mad.

I don’t know how you are feeling right now but I shouldn’t have let go.

I should have held on and let you know.

What you said to me was easy to take.

You were real but some of it was fake.

I’m not the only one that is guarded and does things to hide.

You can’t see it yet but you are guarded from taking your feelings for a ride.

If you read this you’ll know how I felt different from what I said. I’m guarded too as you now know as you have sat and read.

I’m beyond protective of my boys and I will not waist their time.

I was the one with you and your time was mine.

I’m not a pawn and you’re not a rook.

It wasn’t my time that you gone and took.

My heart is still here and it always has been for you.

Time will pass once again for us and for a while be blue.

I’m a mom. I’m a mom.

I’ll be 100 years old some day and I’ll still be a mom.

That’ll never change.

I know how much that is the problem for you.

It’s too many lives to rearrange.
