Goodbye to Romance

Planned ahead of his life
good things, all but bad
yet did he deserve all the strife?
To lose everything he had?

The memories cease to be lost
of the tragic day he was taken
there was no way we knew he fought
His place in the world is now forsaken

The question I ask, is why did he go?
Didn't deserve it, yet he's gone now
Perished from all, and how will we know
Exactly how he worked things like he did?

Young, gorgeous, strong, talented
No one could believe how good he was
Guitar in his hand, warmed up for what he wanted
was in without any hesitation at all

Family of musicians, locked in his world
didn't want to stop, wanted to do more
Now how do we get this unpleasant moral?
Of life he was taken, ripped, and torn

Goals and dreams, bigger than himself
what else to do than pursue his career?
Opportunities ahead that he couldn't even spell
He hadn't a clue of his own worst fear

The last show was going, he had a great time
showed the world how amazing he was
had that moment, his own, to shine
But 2 months later what happened to him??

He was clean, barely drank,
Such a good young man
Though deeper he sank,
into the hands of death itself

Got in the plane with his bus driver on the day
The man was quite high on cocaine
Excited and ready, even for his fear to say
but ahead, where were his goals?

Gone, forever, burned with his life's dreams
instantly charred with everybody else
too quick and sudden, it seems
as the young man died that day

He is still remembered, even right this moment
For his impact on this world
About his talent and how his life went,
A young man with a guitar and a dream.
