Goodbye

Im beginning to tremble
as you look my way
todays the day
one i dont look forward to

shes making me
say goodbye to you
i dont know what to do
im not sure what to say

do i say i love you?
how much i miss your smile?
or the twinkle in your eye?
do i say
how much i'll miss
your loving eyes
and tender kiss

i dont know how to do this
screams my aching heart
your coming closer now
tears are bound to start

you slowly reach my side
and time i try to bide
i know you know whats happening
you say so with your eyes

shes standing there behind us
unseen knife in hand

i feel my soul- my heart
slowly being ripped apart

you hold me together
trying to comfort me
through the final seconds

i cry into your arms
"how could i leave you now?!"
you just shake your head
and softly kiss my brow

"someday.." you say
i shake my head
and start to turn away
i dont want to go
but shes making me say so

"I'll find you again"
you murmur the words
We both begin to cry
as im torn away
and forced to say goodbye
