Girl That Controls The Sun

There was a girl that lived on the other side of our sky,
It was always light there, no matter if it was day or night,
One day she decided to poke holes into her sky which was on the ground,
Everything in her world was upside down.

There was this person that was so quiet,
They didn't seem to have a past of any importance,
The girl found them very interesting, and watched them for hours at a time,
There was nothing else for her to do anyways..

One day she thought he was staring at her,
In reality he was looking at the light holes in his sky full of darkness,
But she fell in love with his eyes,
They looked so sad but yet he had nothing to hide.

She watched him for years,
But soon she began to realize something,
She knew they could never be together,
If she fell down from her sky she would die,
And she knew that boy couldn't or wouldn't know to fly.

But by this time she had made thousands of holes in her sky,
So she couldn't help but see him everyday,
And the idea of them never being together put her in a rage,
She would cry and it'd make storms like you'd never believe,
And when she screamed she would blow apart cities.

One day she finally looked around at their world,
It was full of destruction, waters taking over land,
And winds chasing people away,
The ground splitting in fourths, putting others in their graves,
She came to her senses and felt really ashamed..

She was destroying the place that person loved to be,
She made everything worse for him but she had never seen,
Now she felt she didn't even deserve to look at the world anymore,
So day by day she covered up the holes, one by one,
Yet she took all the light out of the world when she was done.
