Friendship or Destruction?

Blood pours down my wrists
One last chance to save me
You look into my eyes and then you walk away
It's over at last
I think you'll have better than me
It's all my fault anyways
You run away from this like you do everything else
Trying to blame yourself for everyone else's mistakes
The only thing you're actually good at

Sometimes being around you I can't stand up
I need something to lean on before I fall to my own death
"I'll dig a hole" you always say
But you're really digging a hole for two
Lying next to you is me
You brought this upon us, I want to leave
Two more years of this and I don't know what will be left
Will you even make it that long?

Wow, thats so sad.. totally true, but so sad to think about. I think everyone probablly has had a friend like that at one point or another or known someone who has and it's never fun.. best of luck with hopes of change and survival. Great poem though and i really like the "digging a hole for two" part. =]

WOW! I am blown away by this, I have (or more accurately now, had) a friend like that! She had no empathy whatsoever, it was awful. Great poem, I really enjoyed it! Smiley
