For Lauren
R- racing down a grassy hill to where we met the bus
E- evenings underneith the stars, just the two of us!
M- moms are calling us inside and we go our seperate ways
E- ever so regretfully we end another day.
M- mingling across the open lawns to where the other waits
B- benieth the great oak tree and through our secret, magic gate
E- entering our special world where we would reign and run
R- running from our golden thrones and this we condidered the greatest fun.
When we were young,
we ran and played.
We drempt and laughed
all the long, fall days.
Then came the night
when He took you away from me
And now all I think
is that the seperation seems like an eternity.
But we both know
it wont be for to long.
Just long enough for me to
miss you terribly and write this poem.
