Fate Does Not Forgive

A youth's gaze hesitatingly seeks her reflection
Meeting the reality it refused to face
A wavering smile that had once been firm,
Sightless eyes masked by deceit,
Mistakes staining color-drained cheeks.
And within, a trembling heart stirs faintly
With words meant to calm
Whose meaning had been lost long ago.
Unsteady hands and an impure art
Drive the flaws to appear, interfere.
But control is gathered, courage is sought
To face what lay ahead.

Though distinct in all ways from the day of birth,
Left to grow and thrive with borrowed help
Now isolation is the reality
Inevitably revealing itself.
What was gained in life was lost in flaws,
Unable to be returned to her.
Fate does not forgive
Crystal mist and a purpose unknown.
But control is gathered and courage sought
To face what lay head.

"Mistakes staining color-drained cheeks."
hmm. almost a paradox?

purity is bullshit.

hurray!
i have been wanting to say that for hoursssss
thank you for providind me with the oppurtunity (Unsteady hands and an impure art)

"Though distinct in all ways from the day of birth,
Left to grow and thrive with borrowed help
Now isolation is the reality
Inevitably revealing itself."

um. greatest four lines ever.
^.^

cyrstal mist question mark?
paradox?

this is cool. its like. "i hate everything i am but its who i am so i have to accept it"
thats sort of what i get.
which is a mindset i find myself in often so.
kudos.
