1839s for $4.99 (driver's ed.)

my skin is starting to flake
my liver's turning me yellow
my leg is starting to shake
from restless leg syndrome

happy summer, from me with love
happy summer,
until it's gone

and i stand all day
with cigarettes like cards:
'cept it's no gamble:
cancer's hard
and here's your ace, sir
you think marl's priced too high?
enjoy your medical bills.

then there's the liquor,
with the bottle tax
at five cents times 6 bottles times liver failure,
your total comes to ten oh four and your life
here's a penny back, and your receipt.

so my feet are throbbing
from bearing the weight
of me.
and my heart is pounding
at the thought
of getting done at 3.

20 minutes 10 minutes 5 minutes 1 minute
one more customer and then!
well.
i'd run to you if it wasn't raining

i start driver's ed on monday.

I absolutely loved it! I found so many things in it to smile about, to cry about.
