I remember the days
From so long ago
You would hold me so tight

With me close to you

Even for just a minute

But now things are different
Not at all like they used to be

So please, say you need me too
Please stay so we can fix this
Let me be there for you

All I ever want from this
Is for you and I to be happy
If this won't work, tell me now
I don't like to know that you're doubting

But maybe you were right
Now, and at the start
Maybe I'm not strong enough
To mend your broken heart

I know what I wanted
All I needed was you
But I know that what is best for me
Is if I try not to save you
