umm if you miss him ASK HIM BACK OUTT. duh! lol. It'll get better soon. If you love each other just tell him you're sorry and go back out with him

i have to disagree with fallenangel, if you felt the need to break up with him in the first place, something inside you was telling you it wasnt right. It's quite possible you just miss the feeling of having someone there, like his presence. Give yourself time to heal, the feeling will go away soon. keep your chin up, and keep writing, its the best heart-broken medication our society can offer.
