One day I sat down and thought of what I wanted in a man,
With my wish list complete, I prayed a pray so simple and sweet ;
God please bless me with a handsome, intelligent, fun-loving man
A man with hopes and dreams, drive and determination
A man who will love me for me with no reservation
A man whom will except me in spite of my imperfections and flaws
A man that will always have my best interests a hand, let him be a real man
Let this man I pray for be a friend
Someone to laugh with
Someone I can share with
Someone who can lend an ear
Someone to shield all my fear
When I saw you, I was afraid to meet you
When I met you, I was afraid to kiss you
When I kissed you, I was afraid to love you
My mind tried to over rule my heart
Could this be… that was my only thought
Were my prays answered right from the start
Are you the man that would win my heart…
Just one complaint, how can I love a man with such restraint
For I had a list, a simple pray … I forgot to mention just one minor detail
Let this man be all mine, for I can not share
Sorrowfully submitted,
