A Brutal Year

Within a year
I've loved, laughed, and cried.
All for one person.
I've made the best decision of my life,
And I've made the worst mistake.
I was the happiest I'd ever been,
And then almost ashamed to live.
I've been looked out for
And then completely ignored.
It's a year I'll never forget,
But a year I would never relive.
