10 - Madness

I. Dark Sanctuary

Armour of light starts crumbling slowly
Blow by blow it falls apart
Darkness starts to grow on me
Now and forever

My sanctuary


II. Ride Towards The Otherside

As I lay here, eyes wide open
Staring at the shapeless forms
Faceless figures all surround me
A play of anger we perform

They're all around and in my head
Protect and shield me like a swarm
Enforced by glaring waves of rage
Look in my eyes, d'you see the storm?


III. Interference

Shadows blend
As I transcend
The Otherside is calling me
But on this side
Forces spry
Try to rescue
‘Set me free’

Agitation starts to grow
I don't understand just why
They keep trying to pull me back
Seek to hold me on this side

They keep calling on the phone
Won't stop banging on the door
Try to break my concentration
Pull me back onto the shore

So I lay here
Watch the ceiling, darkness in me
Outside faces peer inside

Boiling point
Is slowly reeling
Inside voices scream to fight


IV. Leave Me Alone

What is your obsession with my passive regression
You stand here before me
And say it’s alright
It’s senseless, relentless how you use discretion
Assessing my pain
In textbooks explained

Train of thoughts
A plane on fire in the night
