Ahhh... I'm so happy. I feel like they just won the World Series. It sucks monkey butt that they lost 19 in a row.. but it feels so good that they finally won. I can't believe iet... Mike Wood did an awesome job and McDougal sealed the deal.
Kansas City had to put out their best relievers... Sisco, Burgos, Affeldt and McDougal... but they got the job done for their first victory in about a month. Insane.
Wood pitched 5 innings giving up just one run, then Sisco came in and did a good job until Burgos came in with the bases loaded and struck out a man then had the next ground out. Great work boys.
This of course does not change my mind on wanting Baird fired. He needs to go. Only to tell the rest of the organization we aren't going to stand for a losing team, even if it is a youth movement. The next General Manager needs to come in and get some Free Agent talent until the rest of the boys in the minors are ready. No need to rush them... |
