So yep, time for the 18th Century Poets section. Today I finished William Blake's Biography. Pretty interesting fellow. I wasn't really able to get a good view of what kind of person he was. I mean, sure he sounded nice, but maybe that's all. One of his famous peices included a black man hung sideways. This could be seen as both good and bad.
The original sketch was done by Stedman for Narrative of a Five-Years' Expedition against the Revolted Negroes of Surinam. But Blake's version of it seems more icon-like and almost seen as martyrdom. However, he could have easily meant it just the opposite.
So who knows really? We can sit here and debate it all day, but no one really knows what went through his head.

| Alexander Pope'ss biography is now updated. I also went ahead and changed the 'classical poems' on all the poets' pages to their corresponding 'namehere poems.' |

Percy Byssheshelley - was added.
Also, many other poets who were previously in the 19th century section were moved to the 18th century section. Thanks. |
