my body is numb from the ache
my head hung low with pain
humming our tune as i sit there
walking down memory lane
remembering all that was happy
forgetting the times we said bye
i never knew i would have to see
the day you would painfully die
feeling so helpless and alone
trying to hold in my tears
seeing you suffer killed me
it bought along all my fears
without you i am nothing
and now your gone i can not smile
i know that you would have me happy
but its been such a short while
it hurts to see the house empty
no smiling face around the bend
no one to hold me when i cry
i have lost my closest friend
