In my wishful prayer
And anxious heartbeat
Lies a burning layer
Of verse in need

In the silent hours
Of my solitary golden cage
I heed moon's powers
To sing with joy and rage

Yet the sun draws near
Another day's at hand
The pain will disappear
And I will understand.
