Dazed and amazed
By the silent night
I gaze upon the world
With a hungry sigh.

Oh, my broken wings!
I do not dare to dream:
So poems, as prayers,
Reach for the higher beam.

Psalm, mantra, sura:
All is a cure for pain.
And to my astonishment
My soul is free again.
