Limerick Larry by Gary R. Hess

This is a limerick about a man who wanted to marry a woman named Mary. Sadly, the woman left him shortly after he bought her a ring (mainly because she didn't think it was expensive enough for her). She then left him for someone else. Weirdly enough, it was the couple's gardner. Obviously, the woman only loved Larry for his money but loved the gardner for other reasons.

There once was a fellow named Larry,
Who sought to get married to Mary.
He bought her a ring
Although, not her liking
She left him to marry gardner Jerry.
