Unique Romantic Gift Giving Ideas

By Gary R. Hess. Category: Romance

Giving something to your friends and family is always special. However, giving them something they'll enjoy and didn't receive from someone else may be a bit tricky. Rings, necklaces, restaurant dinners, flowers, and candies have been done to death, so why not try something new for a change?

These are my picks which are both romantic and unique for your special someone. Feel free to choose one of these or use it for inspiration for your next present.

  1. Name a star after your loved one.
International Star Registry allows you to choose a star and name it. It's romantic, quick and easy. Of course, it's not exactly *real*, but in this occasion it's truly the thought that counts more than anything.
  2. Give her/him a message in a bottle.
Write something special and tell your loved one how much you love and care for them, but not to open it until (insert a long amount of time here). When that day finally comes, make a special romantic day out of it.
  3. Create a card.
Not just any card, but a card from your heart. Write a poem, draw, color, do whatever you want. Just make the card is as special as your love. You can find many great and creative papers at department stores and craft shops.
  4. Has your partner been wanting a pet?
If so, buy it and name it. Just make sure that everything will work out afterwards. This includes vaccines, kennels, food, bowls, and whatever else the pet requires. For this, be sure to make sure they truly want the pet.
  5. Create a website.
This one isn't for everyone, but if you know she's (or he's) that type of girl (boy); go for it. There's nothing better than expressing your love to all around the globe.
  6. Create a video.
This one is a bit corny (but so is creating a website and that didn't stop me), but create a video with pictures of the two of you together or him/her alone. Play a great song or read a poem.

These are just a few of the many great and unique ideas for presents. If you won't use these ideas, I hope they have at least helped you brainstorm so you can come up with your own.

The most important aspect of choosing a great gift is thinking and giving from your heart. As long as you do this, then the present will be special.
