Edgar Allan Poe has been a great inspiration to many people. His works show amazing imagery and emotion which so many writers strive to achieve throughout their lifetime.

Poe's version of writing is a journalistic one. His short sentences filled with lots of information served him well in the Black Cat as well as numerous other short stories. This was just one of his many no-nonsense writing rules which he followed throughout his career.

Poe's grammatically packed with large word poetry is one of a kind. His words give great understanding and better meaning to his works. This has very rarely been duplicated.

Poe is arguably the most talented modern writer. He shaped poetry to what it is today as well as being the forefather of horror stories and how short stories should be written. Poe will continue to inspire young writers as well as old until time does not exist.
