Symbolic Meanings of Flowers
With so many types of flowers it is hard to know what is best for a certain situation. Despite common misconception, roses aren't for every occasion. However, when you receive a bouquet don't try to decode every flower; sometimes a flower is just a flower. Nevertheless, if you are wishing to buy flowers this may be of use.
The list comes from Victorian-era floriography where couples would send flowers to convey a message. However, since different regions had unlike meanings for their flowers, some might be contradictory; take them with a grain of salt.
